Natural products: synthesis and biosynthesis
Natural products form the backbone of the modern pharmacopeia. Knowledge of their structures, biosynthesis and chemical synthesis is of key importance for the development of new drugs, agrochemicals and functional materials. This year’s BMWZ symposium will focus on the multidisciplinary interplay between synthesis, biosynthesis, structure and function in the field of natural products, with a special emphasis on engineering and the importance of understanding the biosynthetic proteins. The meeting is free to attend and we warmly welcome our colleagues from Hannover, the region, nationally and internationally.
